The other thing I noticed when looking back, we really don't realize how good that 2007 season really was. I know the mid-season collapse and blown bowl game against Oregon leave a sour taste in some peoples mouths, but just looking at the regular season....if you were to mix those games up and just look at the results....wow, we really did have a great year.

9-3 overall

2 wins vs teams that finished in the top 15 (WVU #6, Auburn #15)

4 wins of 27+ points (UNC, Syracuse, Louisville & UCF)

Beat both the Sun Belt Conference Champ (FAU) and the CUSA Champ (UCF)

Our 3 losses were by a total of 15 pts to teams that finished 27-12 (with one of them ranked in the top 20)

Averaged 34.7 pts a game on Offense, while leading the nation in turnovers (43)

That was a really good team. Even with the loss to Oregon, that team still deserved to be ranked over quit a few of the 9-4 teams that finished ranked (who didn't have near the same resume).

2007 was a great year. Also consider that our loss to Rutgers could have been a win if you take away the "fumble forward." AND our loss to Cincinatti was a close loss after we turned the ball over like 6 times--we still almost won!

2007 was a really good team.

Do the stats on that 9-2 Marquel team. Should have gone bowling.

Act like you’ve been there before. Turns out, for many of us, we haven’t been there before.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
