Look for a verdict on Miami to come down after the season has started as the NCAA is very dilatory in their investigations.

And it seems the board is ticked that he didn't go to them and get that approved. There may still be lawsuits flying in this mess, between PSU and the NCAA. Some former students have come forward disputing the report. What a mess. perfect example of why program should be shut down they are out of control and too many people in power are in denial Its a public school governed by bylaws. If the president is doing things outside his charter, the board probably has a point. The whole thing wasn't done right, but it was done fast to appease a national outcry. PSU board hired Freeh to find out the facts. All this crap about they didn't "approve" the deal is a bunch of crocodile tears. They are sitting back and trying to place the blame all on the U to limit their liability and the public outrage against them as Trustees . They met and decided they didn't have a leg to stand on. This discussion has gotten silly: 4 people were fired, that's enough.PSU shouldn't get the Death Penalty, they got worse.NCAA doesn't have authority, but it seems they did.BOT didn't approve sanctions, but apparently they know that they did. The denial is so thick, you can cut it with a knife. My favorite is the PSU lovers saying "you can't punish us or it will hurt the innocent players". Now that innocent players are startin to move on" they are cowards and traitors for leaving" Football at all cost, moral standards be damned. Comparatively, Miami just shoplifted some gum from the supermarket. The NCAA had to take care of PSU first. Miami's turn will come soon.

It is apples to oranges but Miami has a culture of breaking the rules and they need to be told clearly that needs to stop. Players fighting, strip clubs, illegal recruiting practices. Let it continue and it will get worse.

At least months to go on that. RT @JaimeDurand1 And Miami gets nothing. Typical NCAA stuff.

If their players get arrested or are too drunk/high/tired/ to perform, that only hurts them. The recruiting violations affects the other teams who are trying o recruit these players; the rest, **** it.
