Dude played in Indiana last year, now he's in Florida. The climate is a wee bit different. Not to mention he is coming off of concussion symptoms. Even cleared to play, he probably isn't 100% after taking some days off.

As to the clowning around, it might be a problem, or he may be having a lot more fun at USF. We've seen that this coaching staff is pretty big on doing your work the right way and attention to detail. If he doesn't focus, he won't be on the field.
