At some $200 per plate steak house:

SEC Dude: We make a lot of money from football..

BIG12 Dude: Yup.. but wouldn't it be great to make MORE money!

SEC Dude: Yeah.. let's make our OWN BOWL!

BIG12 Dude:Great idea... we'll make a killing! Let's organize the championship game so that we we're in it every year....

SEC Dude: ... yeah.., then make a SECOND game that we're in every year too!

BIG12 Dude: But wait... what about college football as a whole. I'm not sure this is the best interest of the sport..

SEC Dude: BAWAAHAAAA HAHAHA

BIG12 Dude: Yeah... just kidding. Can we charge this meal to the conferences?

SEC Dude: No need... ESPN will pay for it.

The 4 conferences are building a huge wall around college football.."Free market".. If you thought the AQ/Non AQ was bad, just wait.
