From Wait a second...C-USA and MWC Merger - 22 teams?

Is it compelling enough for Boise to stay there?

What happens if UCiF jumps to the BE, but that's it.  I hope our offer to them is conditional on others, just as their acceptance is conditional upon current members upping the exit fee.

ESPN Excerpt:

The Big East informed the four schools that if all four agree to join the Big East then the remaining schools would agree to an increase in the exit fee from $5 million to the $10 million range to show a commitment to the incoming schools. However, the six remaining football playing schools won't commit to raising the fee unless all four commit to joining the Big East in football with Houston and SMU joining in all sports.

So Air Force, SMU, Houston, and Boise State get conditional invitations, while UCF gets an outright non conditional invitation. This opens up the possibility that UCF might be the only team joining the Big East at this time. I am not against UCF joining perse but those other mentioned teams are better, and then you have others like Temple and ECU who are as good.  UCF should not be the only team with the outright non conditional invitation! Our administration should do better.

So we have no exit fee increase and teams declining invites (supposedly). Awesome. Best week ever.

It's a pucker factor  of 7.  Imagine what changes are in store in the offseason...
