The 2008 Recruiting Class Comes of Age

I know much was said about Darrell Scott being the number 1 RB for the 2008 class. I live in GA and I remember when Demetrius Murray was recruited up here and my handy man was just talking him up, about how USF got probably the RB coming out of GA that year. That was 2008. So I clicked on the 2008 class and its some of USF's best. Here is the list at Rivals for that year. I realize some have moved on for whatever reason, but I'd like to salute this class, one of the best, I think, in USF history so far. Italicized those not on the current roster.

FSU was recruiting EJ Manuel who was all world at QB so BJ was unnecessary.

Also, Craig Marshall graduated.

Landi was only a 2-star? I thought he was a 3 star. Oh well.

This was a good class. The only whiff that was hard to get over was losing Hosley at the last minute. That may have been 2009 though.

Hosley was the 2009 class.  That one stung on signing day.  Getting Kayvon Webster was the coup on signing day 2009 and flipping him from Miami.

I was uh, actually, pointing out the leadership and key roles many of that class now have on this team, not those that left. Add Scott to it and they are an impressive group.
