interesting that Rivals now lists Hester as a commit, but neglects Hill....

That just must mean they called Hester and confirmed it with him.

Even without Hill listed, we are still ranked #60 on the Rivals Team recruiting charts, with only 6 commitments!

LVille is ranked #53, with 21 commitments!!!

They have seven 3-stars and one 4-star.

We have four 3-stars.

Pittsburg is #46 with 17 commitments, seven are 3-stars.

I wont be suprised if USF out ranks both the NEW BIG EAST and C-USA once again this year. That will put USF at two top ranked classes going into the BIG EAST.

The Hester Commit is NOT even included YET in their team rankings as it was last updated 1/17/2005 1:15: AM. So, even without Hill included, we shoud move up to about #55 by the morning. Slowly but SURELY!  ;)

WVU looks to be having a big year.  They're at 37 right now.  3 stars aren't gonna move the pile.  You've got to get a 4 star HS kid.  And knowing how Rivals operates, the moment you sign Hill they're gonna drop him back to three stars.

Really, maybe he should committed to UCF then he could get more stars.

Nope.  Rivals treats us the same way.  Their rankings are a joke.  They actually rank based on what schools are interested in signing a kid.  So if Jason Gwaltney had actually picked UCF and told the other schools no thanks, you would have seen him drop like a rock in their database.  However, Gwaltney would still be the same beast fo a tailback.

Nah, Brandon could get something done, he's done it before.  He'd never let Jason drop like that.

On a more straight forward note, there's a few things they can not do.  A player like Jason Gwaltney, or Carlton Hill can not lose stars at this juncture partly because where they're ranked nationally and statewide on top 100 lists, and at their respective position.  It would take someone to knock them out of those national, regional, and positional rankings to take the star away.  I mean you can't say Jason's the #5 RB in the nation when the top 25 all have four stars.  They'd have to drop Jason down about 21 spots, and if they did that it would be too blatant to discredit.

Ditto for Hill.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
