That man is a beast of a back. He's OK, I don't think anyone in their right mind would take any him ahead of any of the following: jones-drew, peterson, cj, charles, jackson, rice, foster, hillis. Hey, while we're at it...how many of those RB's (widely considered the top backs in the NFL) are competing for SB's year and and year out? Just admit it, you don't need to have an elite running game to go to, and win, the SB, at least in recent years. Mendenhall finished as the#6th rusher in the whole league : And yet, 6 RB's were selected to the pro bowl and he wasn't one of them. Consider the system he plays in and that a RB is more than just a runner. He's a good back, but he's not elite.
Guest nybullsfan
This whole "stars" debate is ridiculous.I'd rather have a "no-star" guy with a chip on his shoulder with something to prove, than a "5-star" prima donna who thinks the world revolves around him.Give me the scrappy underdog every time.I hope USF goes on to great success and dominance in the world of college football, but once we do, something will have died. Part of our identity is our underdog nature.
