The wheels are coming completely off, now.

"Wannstedt resigned as head coach following a disappointing 7-5 regular season that included blowout losses at home to Miami and rival West Virginia. Despite stepping down, he was allowed to remain as coach of the team for the upcoming bowl game against Kentucky, but it appears that’s not going to happen."

"Pitt Defensive Coordinator Phil Bennett will be the interim head coach.."

"Pitt Offensive Coordinator Frank Cignetti Jr. is poised to accept the same position with Rutgers, and may not be coaching for Pitt in the bowl game."
