The hitting coach needs way more blame than the pitching coach.

I dont think it had anything to do with his coaching...He has personal problems that hurt the team this season.

Love when people comment on things they have no clue about. 

yea, typical Yankees.   

btw, the Yanks pitching was their weak spot all year, you'll see that when they attack every availbale pitcher (Greinke, Cliff Lee) in the off season and dont even give a guy like CC a look.

So whatever happened with Dave Eiland as a player?  I seem to remember he pitched like one time for the Yankees, had a bad outing and they told him he'll never pitch again or something?

I think Eiland missing a month of the season for personal reasons and not being there when some of the pitchers struggled got him fired.  He clearly had things that prevented him from giving his best the whole season.
