it's only one year.  the BE has been great against opponents especially in bowl games the past few years.  there is a lot of youth in our conference this year.

People have short memories. From some of the articles I have seen, some think the Big East has done nothing since Miami and VT left. Others who have not been paying attention read that and make the same comments. I believe things will get better shortly.

bowl records mean little

refusal that big east is terrible is  consistent with usf fans that think usf has recruited well and will compete for big east crown

So games against the other conferences is no indication of how good a conference is?  We certainly haven't been the SEC or Big 12 of late, but I would argue that the Big East has been better than the ACC and certainly better than the non-AQ conferences.
