I was thinking that Earl could effect the Stony Brook game only because their campus is about 10 miles from the Islip airport on Long Island.

If you look at the left track Earl goes over Long Island.

Cheers

Probably not... The models have shifted east with every run today... it's more and more likely that it won't be a big deal... the only reason the NC islands are being evac'd is there are only 2 bridges and it takes that long... kind of like the keys...

If anything were to happen to where SB couldn't get here on Saturday or Friday night, it would only make sense that there is a little, I mean teeny tiny like .01% chance we could be playing on Sunday.

At 5pm EST we put every station on the East Coast on TS watch plan. It could be upgraded to hurricane plan by noon tomorrow.

Cheers

SB is probably flying down tomorrow... that's usually what happens...

No... they would check ahead and leave Thursday... but like Jim said... it's not going to be an issue...

Slightly off topic but related...

Tropical Storm Gaston has formed in the Atlantic.  Its expected to be upgraded to a Hurricane after this weekend.  Its not expected to turn north like Earl or Fiona, and is likely to be in play for the following weekend (Sept 10-13).

Just something we all need to keep an eye on.
