Remodeling cooper is a waste of money....

that place should be demolished and rebuilt. It will happen sooner than later so why make it a money pit.

Completely agree. IMO, that building will never get any better no matter what you do with it.

In a way though, it is good to see that the University is placing more of a priority on aesthetics.

Nice interior remodel, has USF remodeled the exterior?  Cooper Hall and the Chemistry building were the ugliest buildings on campus.

They have begun changing the exterior to cooper hall. Right now they repainted and have started to put in new lights in the overhang of the building. The other additions they will be including are new trees, more seating areas, and the thing I find best MORE SHADE!

Should be interesting what cooper will look like when they are completed with the building.

I am sure I am in the minority here but I actually like the architecture of cooper hall as well as some other similar buildings on campus (SOC, science center, etc.)  I despised these buildings as 60's/70's ugliness when I was there about 10 years ago but now I see them as an interesting example of modernist and brutalist architecture with the grossly oversized and/or completely extraneous structural elements.
