Digressing, but...

The first game they have listed, North Dakota State versus Kansas, should get a pass.

Having grown up in ND, I can tell you that residents there always had a special liking for KU.  Without a division 1 school of our own, at the time, Kansas was one that we could follow and sort of call our own.  The best basketball player in the state when I was in HS, Jeff Boschee, went to Kansas to play, and they traveled TO North Dakota to play either of the state schools in basketball.  So, in any case, there is some history there.  Besides in 2009, NDSU had on its roster the FCS's most productive running back, Pat Paschall.

I have no idea why any of you would care, particularly, but I felt compelled to share.  :D

Bumping only because my random digression has added relevance after the results of the opening weekend ;)

At least with UCF they can win a close game and its still a respectable win (the honest USF fans on here will admit this point).

In 2008, we beat UCF in OT .... and dropped 2 spots in the polls... I don't think any more needs to be said on this subject.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
