In urban universities I see a lot of students who come back to school to get the MBA or who were working full time during their undergraduate and graduate degrees so they have some experience. A lot of students go right through, especially in an economic recession. If companies are not hiring, students just stay in school.

USF changed this rule just a couple years ago to require experience before entering their program.

Not hard to see the appeal of grad school over making coffee at Starbucks.

I wish my company would pay for one. I wanted to go get experience first and then maybe go back. But the cost is also an issue. So we'll see what happens. Guest nybullsfan
I did mine about 15 years after graduating from USF, at McGill University (Tokyo campus). It ran to about $40k total over 2 years. Company covered the whole thing.Hatter, be careful what you ask for. Mine was a full 2-year MBA in 2 years, 'cause all the classes were on weekends. Full-time work plus full-time school leaves NO time for anything else, including family and friends. Was it worth it? Absolutely. I would recommend it to anyone, especially w/ tuition reimbursement.
