I prefer this scenario

This is all just nuts, but it sure makes the off-season more interesting.

How's this for a scenario? Grab EIGHT new teams, and split into three conferences

Grab the 4 remaining teams from the B12, and add 4 non-BCS teams to make an 8-team BE Central Conference:

Kansas

Kansas State

Missouri

Iowa State

TCU

Houston

Tulane

Memphis

Why these teams? For the markets, for the recruiting, for the basketball(!), and because the BE is primarily a group of URBAN schools, so we need to balance the new rural B12 schools.

BE Eastern Conference:

USF

UL

UC

Cuse

UCONN

WVU

Pitt

Add Central Florida to replace Rutgers if they go to the B10

BE Basketball Conference, makes a total of 24 teams

Marquette

Georgetown

Seton Hall

Providence

Villanova

St. John's

Add Butler (or Xavier or UMASS) to replace Notre Dame if they go to the B10

This would be waayyyy better than joining the ACC...

The 4 leftovers in the Big 12 will be joining the Big East as early as next week.

Joe I keep hearing KU is interested in listening to BE, but doesn't really want to be part of a monster hybrid.  What are you hearing about that if anything.

I'm waiting to hear of a team from California joining the Big EAST and a team from one of the Atlantic states joining the PAC-10.

Perhaps we can extend a Big East invitation to Hawaii.
