He looks a bit stiff at RB.  He is a phenomenal athlete, but a lot of his success at running back on the prep level is due to him being a man amongst boys physically.  He is able to use his size and speed to physically dominate and drag opponents, where his advantage won't as extreme in college.  He is physically college ready right now and can step in at any program in the country as a true freshman and contribute, but it's unclear how high his ceiling is on the offensive side of the ball.

He would be a great get for us if he were committed to playing Linebacker.  If he were open to playing OLB, he could be a starter from the moment he stepped on campus at a lot of BCS schools and has a better chance of developing into a special player.

For us, our prospective RB depth chart looks like this for 2011:

Demetris Murray

Darrell Scott

Donte Aycock

Mike Hayes

Bradley Battles

Joel Miller

Marcus Shaw

Willie Davis

Another running back won't make much of a difference if we have this group.  Skip has already stated that he prefers a workhorse back to take the load of the carries, so it's not going to be a Gregory/Canalas ineptitude by committee approach.

you are confident in that deptch chart?

Only thing I am confident in with that depth chart is that half will not be on it by this time next year.

Ankle injury ... doesn't seem to be serious, but the coach called him out for "pain threshold".
