Wish I knew more about him.... I had no idea we had a hall of fame MLB player coaching the team....  this might be a good way to inform and preserve his legacy...

We are a football school.... We had a baseball team???

I was blessed to meet Mr. Roberts at the HOF inductions this past year.  I had grown up in Philadelphia hearing about him,  and always wanted to play for him.  My only disapointment was that the picture of us that night did not come out.

fans today have no sense of history for the sport and or the school they follow

today's athletes are pretty much like that also

I was lucky enough to meet and get to know Robin Roberts over my years in school and working with USF. In the 02-03" baseball season I worked for EC as a student manager and got to know Robin. He would come to a practice or two almost every couple weeks. I was very fortunate to talk baseball with him on a few occasions, but after getting to know him he always would come up and ask how I was doing, and how my classes were going. Such a great guy, and truly cared about everyone he knew and met. He was always following and active with USF as well, as he lived in Tampa. He truly will be missed but never forgotten.

Great gentleman.  USF should feel honored to have had him as a manager. He used to stop in here and there in the early 90's and speak to the team. Some of the greatest stories you would ever here---- 'back in the day.'    RIP
