First of all .... lets throw the ball to this position !

39    Boswell, Chase  TE  6-1  216  So.

89    Hawkins, Jeff  TE  6-4  251  So.

85    Ketchel, Andrew  TE  6-5  246  Sr.

88    Shields, Andreas  TE  6-6  230  So.

12    Virgin, Isaac  TE  6-4  245  RFr.

I suspect these 2 will be our starters. And agree with most regarding Virgin's potential to play also. Excited about the potential of a better(diversified) Offense.

Go BULLS !!!

Hawkins was a really good TE prospect. I was expecting him to play more this past year.

I've heard good things about Shields, hopefully he's ready to step in and make some plays.

We definitely need to step up pass catching at this position.  We need BJ to focus more on his short game (he obviously has the long bomb down) and we need the rest of the o-line to step it up and free up the te's so they can run routes.  Knocking down d-linemen will be huge too... many passes to the TE will be low and succeptible to the "batted pass".  Those and QB height are the problems I've see preventing this team from passes to this position.  Thankfully Daniels is a bit taller than his predacessor...

I'd like to see Shields beef up a little bit.

Passing Lanes are more important than QB height ... QB is 3-4" taller won't mean a thing with a DL's hands up. Open up passing lanes.

Haven't seen this since 1997 ...  :-\

Hoping for diversity in play calling.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
