Not that I wasn't excited before. But bringing in a new HC, and all the unknowns that go along with it, has got me dreaming big again.  When I first saw Holtz's name mentioned, all I could think was "FAIL," (admittedly, out of ignorance...I was hoping for a name like Tuberville or Dungy) but after watching every youtube video of him I could find, and pondering his record, I'm beginning to wonder if he's not exactly what we've been waiting for. It took someone of Leavitt's passion and dedication to get USF on its legs. But the challenge has changed dramatically. Before, those emotional upset wins were what made our program (Louisville, Auburn, WVU, FSU etc). But now we need something different. We need consistency. We need media friendliness. We need sound X's and O's. Holtz brings all of those things to the table. Recruiting is a question mark, but if we start squeezing the true potential out of our existing talent the wins will come, and the recruits will follow.

Here's hoping that all our dreams come true. Go Bulls

I'm thinking many of the same things.

Initially, I was pulling for a Bowden, but I am becoming more excited by this hire.

I'm also excited.

I hope that he can heal the hurt on our team and unite together.

Very excited, I hope he can bring the team together.

I think he was a great hire.

Will be curious if he can talk Carnes to staying with USF

We'll find out this weekend, he's scheduled to make a campus visit.

I'm excited too, and glad Skip is our new coach. He won CUSA in his 3rd year, after taking over a dismal team. We're in a lot better shape, talent-wise, so hopefully he can win the BE for us in his first or second year.

Go Bulls!

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
