I emailed Fanhouse asking them why they employ someone who clearly lacks the capacity to fact check his stories, given that the St. Pete Times has been able to debunk his claims based on unidentified sources.  I posed it them this way: he either lacks journalistic integrity and has an axe to grind with USF or he is a very bad writer that doesn't understand the basics of journalism.  Either way, he's doing a hatchet job that makes them look stupid.

Glad ESPN got the Times article up on their site. Andy Katz works for ESPN and is a good friend of Stan Heath so maybe he made sure that The Times report got seen nationally.

Mail delayed to USF because holidays...McMurphy knows someone whose neighbor's daughter (who wishes to remain anonymous) works at the post office and the Notice of Inquiry is only delayed - this was also witnessed by an unnamed reporter.  Calls to the Post Office late Friday were not returned!

all they are worried about is people on their site reading content.

That's all well and good, but seeing that is article was picked up by ESPN is what hurts. It's good that someone like Greg goes in depth and gets the real scoop, but something has to be done to put a muzzle on Brett and his unfounded accusations.

Exactly Flip. When Stan and his coaches call a recruit or go visit they have to answer questions about this stuff McMurphy is writing. It is good that Greg Auman is doing some real digging for the truth and his article was posted Nationally on ESPN. Still though Brett is hurting USF with his obsession of spreading negatively about Bulls basketball.

He's got a syndrome one might see illustrated on this board.  He's obviously taken USF Football (It started there with him too) to be a personal affront to him somehow.
