Are we pursuing any CBs

Cornerback seems to be a real weak spot for us this year.  I'd love to have another Mike Jenkins.  I looked at the list of CBs that we are going after on Scout... does anyone have any info on any of them?  Any strong possibilities?

Terrence Mitchell - down to UF, FSU, UGA and us

Terrence Brooks - committed to FSU, but you never know

Nickell Robey - UGA commit, but the D-coordinator is in trouble up there so it may turn interesting

Ty Scott out of Manatee county also, but I believe he is a safety.

We also have a lot of young CBs out there right now.

Guys like Washington, Webster, and Baker are all talented. With the reps they're getting they'll be even better next year.

I doubt we sign a CB who can step in and contribute immediately. Webster is probably our best chance at the "next" Mike Jenkins.

Don't forget Ricardo Dixon and Jacquez Jenkins being redshirted.  Jenkins will probably be a safety, but he has played corner and he's in the 6'2" area.

I like the sound of another jenkins playing corner.  He spoiled us with such good play that no one has given us since.  If he was here the last year... no mid season swoon.  (imo)

Just don't have a lot on any of these players.

I did watch Terrence Brooks a couple weeks ago though. He is a pretty athletic kid. I talked to him and he seemed like a nice kid also. He didn't stand out much against our D though and our Junior WR/DB outplayed him 1on1 several times. Ja'Juan caught 2 passes in a row on him while 1on1 on our final drive and early in the game Terrence took a jet sweep around the edge and Ja'Juan ran him down easily. The USF secondary needs some real players and while Brooks is pretty good idk if he would make us better until he was a few years in.
