My 10 year old stepson and I witnessed Rocky getting punched by an EZU fan early in the game.  Rocky was walking through the vistor seating section prompting many a thumbs down (OK).  Unfortunately a Pirate fan decided to attack Rocky.  He punched Rocky in the chest before being put back in his seat by other fans. Rocky seemed to be OK only a little miffed.

I did get some satisfaction near the end of the game.  With USF up 34-17, he was standing forlorn in the walk area between his section and mine.  I gave him an earfull about how it was his fault his team lost because it is bad karma to mess with Rocky.  I also asked him how embarrassing it was for his team to be 0-3 against a new program and how they should have not fired coach Logan (he agreed with the last comment).

I got back to my car after the game to find that someone had 'keyed' the entire side of my car.

It's probably the same fan or one like him.

Meanwhile, the entire security staff is at the gates making sure no one brings Goldfish snacks or handbags larger than 8" into the stadium. ::)

When we beat them 3 years ago in Greenville, I had a runin with one of their fans.  This guy was probably about 60 years old, and pissed off because he was seated next to the visitors section.  He actually threatened me because I was standing up and cheering.  I told him to either put up or shut up, and he naturally shut up.
