So I happened to come across Virginia Tech's football schedule for this coming year, and noticed something interesting: Their game "colors" are noted right on the schedule. The first home game is under the heading "White Out", and later in the season they have both "Maroon Effect" and "Orange Effect" games later in the season. Might noting the games color on the schedule (Even if it's ALL GREEN ALL THE TIME!) be helpful in getting the word out?

Why is everyone here so obsessed with the colors the team will wear or what colors the fans should wear? I don't care if you all show up in hot pink tutus, as long as USF wins.

Every game should be a GREEN OUT anyway.

Hey a Pink out would be cool.  We could all wear VS PINK USF garments.  Have a giant slumber party the night before.

Now, what game, have to put this on the schedule.  Maybe the team could be Pink helmets, but they would have to have green face masks, the black would be gouche..

Maybe CJL could dye his hair.

If you force it on people, it's not tradition, it's a rule.

I don't understand the clamor to start a "tradition" either. These things are organic and random, and it might take years and years and years before one really catches on.

it has to start somewhere.

im sure if you traced back texas a&m's color coded levels it came out of some organized effort and stuck around there were now it is second nature.  same with nebraska's sea of red.  penn st's white out, etc.

either way, i wear green to every single game with or without a schedule or ticket telling me to do so.

i think everyone else should too

If we lived near Penn State, Morgantown, or wherever the hokies play, yeah you can have everyone wearing the same color.

Not gonna happen in Tampa, or any other big city.
