Well i turned 16 a week back, and now its time to buy a car.  I'm looking for something around a 2000 for under 5 grand. 

I've been on craigslist and autotrader but just havent had any luck.  Does anyone have any other sites for buying from a private party?

cars.com is another... i think they do private.

Ebay has cars as well. 

But your best bet may be the classified ads for tbo, times, and any local newspapers.

There's a guy on our board that is a car guy...he buys and sells and locates, etc, as I recall.  You might want to ask him.

he is dabull80 on here

Cars.com, Autotrader.com and Ebay.com are the top imo all deal with dealer and private sales. What type of car are you looking for?
