Past attendance is probably one factor, which the other 2 schools have over us. I'm sure building availability is another factor.

Not sure how they picked it... but this was on the Women's NIT official Site:

South Florida awaits the winner of tonight's Illinois State at Kansas semifinal game. The championship is set for 2 p.m. ET Saturday, April 4, and will be hosted by the Illinois State-Kansas winner.

Kansas is winning the game. 69-64 with 20 seconds left.

perhaps there's a voicemail/answering machine/inbox somewhere to hurl our bull angst towards in hopes of getting the game hosted here.

Yeah, it's called the ticket office, and they were open since December.

The Lady Birds gave it a go, but couldn't get it done.  If you are wondering why at KU for the championship....KU has 8,400 fans there tonight.

Don't look at me. I attended the UConn game debacle.

Where were you?

Greg explained it in the other thread

Both schools hosted two games in the WNIT and both schools had poor attendance -- BC averaged 588 and USF averaged 724. Neither compares to what the other remaining schools have averaged. The schools have to essentially buy home games -- the number I've read is that the WNIT gets 85 percent of the gate from ticket sales, so a school takes on all the production costs while getting 15 percent of the normal ticket revenue. I know USF did put in bids to host every round ...

Wow, what an exciting finish! Kansas took it 75-72 in a free-throw clinic!

ISU came back from 17 down to nearly win, but came up short at the end.

Go Bulls, beat the Jayhawks!
