Wow.  Those pitches were strikes.  No one can pitch if the strike zone is as small as that ump thinks it was for Kaz.

as bad as  i think the rays have played, this umpiring crew has probably done the worst job in a world series in baseball history. its downright bush league umpiring, unprofessional, bologny, whatever you want to call it. its clear though that the phillies have a large strike zone and the rays have a strike zone equal to half the plate

and bud selig will do nothing to hold these umps accountable.

this da*mn game shouldnt even be playing right now, we should be in a delay

Small strike zone wouldn't even bother me.  Those pitches are strikes to Rays hitters.

Not knowing all the rules, but a question.  If they were delayed now, how long until they call the game?  If it is official does that mean that this game could end right now and the phillies win if they did not come out of the delay?

So I guess this is good.  Game suspended, Hamils done for the night (?) and we're even.

We had some mojo going, though.  Bad time to call it, but they couldn't play in those conditions.

Even the announcers were saying that the strike zone was not the same for the rays and favored the phillies

by the way the game has now been moved to wednesday 8pm

Way wrong.  It should have been called long before that point.  I think the announcers hinted at how waiting for TB to score a run "got everyone off the hook."

Kudos for TB getting that run in the mess.

The strike/balls calls are one thing, and I can live with bad calls in that dept... but things like the tag by longoria must be called right.  Replay NEEDS to be added for this situation.  It won't slow down the game at all b/c it would take all of 3 seconds for the video crew to correct it, and Maddon came out and gave the ump an earful anyway.  So the delay would have happened regardless, so why not get it right.
