Against Pitt he was almost sacked one play but got away and threw a nice pass.  One defender was holding onto his shirt tail and he was barely able to get away.  I cant figure out if having is shirt untucked helped him there or if having it untucked could cause something like that to go the other way in the future.

I would say yes, but it doesn't seem to be something he or ANY OTHER PLAYER for that matter can help.

I noticed it in the FIRST QUARTER OF THE FIST GAME.

I like the look of the new Under Armour jerseys, but there is definitely a design flaw.

They cannot stay tucked in for more than a few plays.

Looks sloppy, and it almost caused a sack last night.

Back to the drawing board, UA.  We'd better not have that problem next season.

Matt Starts the game untucked, and I am pretty sure he always has. It was just a concern. It doesn't bother too much until it becomes the reason he does get sacked.

Yes. There is no advantage what so ever to having an un-tucked jersey. There are a few minor disadvantages ala shirt tackles, and giving the D linemen some more to grab on a O lineman. A tucked jersey actually gives a defender less of a target to grab at, the goal is to be as slick and sleek as possible. The UA Material when tightly fitting and drenched in sweat is remarkably hard to grab. A proper fitting uniform should allow the player full range of motion with out inhibition. Simply put make it fit, and tuck it in. Those UA jerseys have long tails for the very reason that they should not come un-tucked during the course of play. This is football not a day at the mall, give yourself every advantage possible.

That's just it, though.

These new jerseys come untucked at the drop of a hat.

They're having a very hard time keeping them tucked in.

In the picture above Huners has his jersey tucked in and he has a lot more people clawing and grabbing at him on every play than MG does.

IMO, it just looks like poo when half of the team has their jersey untucked and the rest doesn't...

Where's the NFL uniform police when you need them?
