I firmly believe that USF can hold Kansas to a minimum of yards... 500 yards would be an epic event for Kansas.

However, I also felt that way going into the Sun Bowl... and Oregon had +500 yards.

Oregon had a month to fume over being an underdog to a 1-A football toddler and being totally written off after losing Dixon. Only thing comparable here is that KU, a BCS bowl winner last year, is also an underdog to an upstart football program. I would think that will be used as motivation as well ...

Heading into that Oregon game, I didn't like the fact that their players had LOST three bowl game in a row, and this was a chance for their seniors to FINALLY win a Bowl game. On the other hand, we seemed to have a VERY big chip on our shoulders after winning our last three games in a resounding fashion, and got lulled into believing once again that we couldn't be beat. It seemed like Oregon wanted it much more than we did and it showed.

That game should have taught us something as well as our narrow escape at UCF.

USF will be more than ready to play KU.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
