I really don't get peoples issues. I mean the Big east has teams on the verge of getting the NC...and with similar schedules. Its obvious if we just win the schedule we go bcs, with the luck of a couple teams losing we go to a NC. It's simple, let them keep scheduling a win to be 1-0. Why struggle in game 1 when we know we will and potentially lose just to say,oh well at least we lost to someone decent.

Exactly.  The first game can be thought of as our preseason game.  We don't usually look that good in week 1 anyways.  We need that game to get the rust off.  I think we should always start our season with a 1-AA.

Quantity over quality. Yeah, we'd notice he's gone, but no one would couple that thought with with "I'll miss his insight/ good points."

Agreed,

We may fiercely disagree on things, but Smazza is good for the board.

He keeps people level headed.  He doesn’t constantly talk up USF so people don’t like him.

He may be a little off on the political spectrum, but he’s a good guy  :P

Agreed,
