So my disclaimer is that since the UA road jersey is the only one that's been released, I've been looking at that and falling in love for weeks, without a home version to garner the same adulation. That said:

What do you think about the green pants, white jerseys as a primary home uniform, a la LSU and some other schools? In addition to how sharp it looks (and again, we haven't yet seen the home jersey) it would force our visitors into dark jerseys in the Florida heat. We could also raise the profile of the green-on-green uniform, wearing it either only for games of particular importance or as our home, night jersey--we are likely to see an increase in day games (much to everyone's dismay) so we could go white jersey in day games and green jersey in night games. Thoughts?

No thank you.  We've worn Green Jerseys for every home game period.  Its actually one of the few football traditions we have that remains from day one.  Now if you want to go with Green jerseys and white pants thats another story.  Thats what we wore at home for the first 5 years or so.

I think there is a rule that the home team wears their dark jerseys unless agreed to by the schools prior to the season.

That's correct--we couldn't just decide on Thursday we were wearing white jerseys on Saturday. If this were to take place it would have to be planned beforehand.

i think wearing the white jerseys at home, forcing the away team to "wear dark jerseys in the Florida heat" is a great idea. but white on white just looks horrible, i think we should do away with that combo completely

Unless you get approval, like LSU

NOT TRUE

Contrasting Colors

ARTICLE 3. a. Players of opposing teams shall wear jerseys of contrasting

colors, and the visiting team shall wear white jerseys. White jerseys may

be worn by the home team when the teams have agreed before the season.

Players of a team shall wear jerseys of the same color and design.

I say mix it up, if Notre Dame can wear Green, than we can wear Navy on some games.  Maybe a little Purple and Gold or why not gold jersyes and Green pants.  Just change the gold on the helmets and the face guards to match.  For that matter, why not have a different uniform EVERY home game and spank the Oregononians that think three home uni's are cool.. Try 7 buckos...
