Looks like we did okay today.  Can anyone find a draft tracker that can sort by conference?  How did we do comparably?

That is only 7% of the players drafted.  The Big East needs that number to be at least 10%.

If a team has two players graded exactly the same and one played in the BE, and the other the SEC...there is a natural inclination to draft the SEC guy. So while we definitely need to get the overall level of conference talent up...Big East schools already face an uphill battle for respect from the get-go.

As a general trend, it seems the consensus "talented" players are selected in the first few rounds regardless of school...but the longer the draft goes...teams tend to use strategies of taking 1) talented ("under the radar") guys from small schools/conferences 2) guys from bigger name schools and conferences who may have some question marks. Fairly or unfairly...Big East players don't seem to end up in either bucket. Our conference in its present configuration is still fairly new...and this will take time if its going to change.

Let's also not forget that we are a conference of only 8 teams...(compared to the other BCS conferences)

PS. someone may want to check that breakdown....Rutgers has only one on the list, but had both Ray Rice and Jeremy Zuttah taken just from the players I know of...
