Hey guys,

I moved to Orlando last summer from Austin and the job market here isn't the best.  I've applied to work at USF in a few departments (staff jobs, not teaching) and was just wondering if anyone can tell me the process of how they hire people?  Or better yet, put in a good word for me?  Now I know what you're saying..."but Longhorn, we don't know you" and to that I say, you're right.  But I can send you a resume and some info about me.  That's not a problem.

If yall have any questions, suggestions, etc, please fill me in.

Thanks!

(oh in addition, I'd possible go to grad school at USF in the future should either one of the jobs I applied for pan out.)

Which departments/areas? If it's economics related I'll put in a good word for you... provided I get a kickback? :D

Seriously though, which areas are you looking at?

One of the jobs is in the College of Education and the other is in the Admissions Office.  Both jobs I got from the USF Employment Website.

Hiring takes forever with them.
