Yeah Norman is a tool. Why in the hell is he having reps from the Trop as part of this committee?

Because he believes that USF should play any games that would conflict with the ACC schedule at the Trop.  He's gone on record with that already...

FUN FACT: No city has ever commissioned a study to determine the viability of hosting the SEC Championship Game or Big XII Championship Game.

Actually, the Atlanta Sports Council (most cities have Sports Commissions) has done studies on the economical impact of the SEC Championship Games in ATL...plus almost every other major event ever held in ATL.

You might need to read Gary's post a little more closely.  If you can find the "viability" study (means before it was played) feel free to post that.  The easy internet search uncovers the estimated impact AFTER the game had been played.  Nonetheless, I think Gary's point is that viability is not an issue for those conferences as they feature marquee teams, travel well and buy tickets (sellout).  Not so with the ACC thus far.
