Too much money tied up in stars and not enough depth has been a problem since winning the cup.

The Lightning are in a difficult position right now.  Under normal circumstances they’d probably be making some significant deals, for example trading Brad Richards, but they are in the process of trying to sell the team.

Usually start getting into hockey after football season, but this year the Lightning season may be over already.

Hopefully this game is simliar to the one from early 2002. Colorado jumps out to a 3-0 lead half way through the 1st. Torts benches Khabibulin, the Lightning get a late first period goal, Bulin comes back in for the second, stand on his head as the Lightning tie it, then  Boyle nets a pair of 3rd period goals for the 4-3 win, sparking a 12 game win streak that led the Bolts to their first division win and second trip to the playoffs!

Right now this team doesnt have the confidence late. It seems like whenever they are up 2 goals in the third they are jsut sitting back eyeing the clock, praying the puck doesnt go in.

I sat next to Andre Roy's wife and behind Darche's wife at the one game I went to this year.

Hopefully they can pull it together, Ramo needs more experience.

Actually went to game last night and the first two periods were horrible (got there late and missed the two fights)  .... although, we didn't score in the third, they had their chances and watching Vincent play is almost worth the price of admission by itself. He's a freaking magician with the puck around the net but even he's on a 3 game scoreless streak.

Not sure how much effect Boyle coming back will have but it certainly couldn't hurt.

I went to the game as well last night. The first two periods were played pretty sloppy. Colorado took advantage of their power plays, which they usually don't have much success on.  The lightning came out in the third strong, they just couldn't come back when they went 0-2 on their power play chances. I like Colorado, just wish they would come to town more often.
