I don't understand college football

College kids.  Being the underdog as opposed to the favorite.  Thinking you're being disrespected as opposed to having people kissing your rear and getting full of yourself.  Emotions.

All that makes college football unpredictable, but overall pretty fun.

It depends on who wants it more, will play with emotion and take it to the opposition.  Not so tough.  Oregon>USF  ;  WVU>OU (at half) and yeah USF>WVU when we played each other.  Turnovers will cause that equation to be skewed but when you get outplayed on both sides of the ball you can throw turnovers out since they were a result of being outplayed.

Actually, it's real easy to understand. You have about a month to gameplan for your opponent. Add in the big chip on WVU's shoulder from RR leaving and everyone saying they had no shot tonight and what they are doing right now should no be a surprise.

Yep I believe alot is emotion, but if CJL has any negatives is he is not a great game day coach.  He knows talent and how to make that talent into good football players.  But he has been out coached a number of times this year.  One thing I am very  disapointed in is with almost a doctorate in sports psych.  he always has a number of games were the players don't seem to be up for.
