Last year we won 4...... uck. Do we think that 7-9 is feasible? It would be a great improvement if we went to lower tier BEAST to mid level BEAST. I'm just not sure we can win that many conference games... what do you all think?
Velcro Posted December 6, 2007 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 19,229 Reputation: 7 Days Won: 1 Joined: 01/14/2002 Share Posted December 6, 2007 We have 4 OOC games left (UAB, Wake Forest, St Francis NY, Winston Salem State)if somehow we sweep all 4 of those games (which is a pretty big long shot on those first 2, the 2nd two should be easy games), then we'd have 10 wins going into conference season. Looking at the schedule, i can pick out probably 7 games total that I think we COULD realistically win. So to end up 7-9 in conference, we'd have to be perfect in those games, or sneak up on someone else.Sat, Dec 08 UAB Tampa 7 p.m. Catch 47 Wed, Dec 19 Wake Forest at Winston-Salem 7 p.m. Sat, Dec 22 St. Francis College (NY) Tampa 7 p.m. Catch 47 Sat, Dec 29 Winston-Salem State Tampa 7 p.m. Catch 47 Wed, Jan 02 Rutgers * Tampa 7 p.m. ESPN2 Sat, Jan 05 Syracuse * at Syracuse, N.Y. Noon Wed, Jan 09 Pittsburgh * Tampa 7:30 p.m. ESPN2 Sat, Jan 12 Providence at Providence, R.I. 4 p.m. Thu, Jan 17 Seton Hall * at South Orange, N.J. 7:30 p.m. Sun, Jan 20 West Virginia Tampa 2 p.m. Wed, Jan 23 Louisville * Tampa 7 p.m. Tue, Jan 29 Marquette * at Milwaukee, Wis. 8 p.m. Sat, Feb 02 St. John's Tampa 7 p.m. Tue, Feb 05 Georgetown * at Washington D.C. 7:30 p.m. Sat, Feb 09 DePaul * at Chicago, Ill. 2 p.m. ESPNU Wed, Feb 13 Syracuse * Tampa 7 p.m. Sat, Feb 16 Connecticut * Tampa Noon Wed, Feb 20 Cincinnati * at Cincinnati, Ohio 7 p.m. ESPNU Tue, Feb 26 Seton Hall * Tampa 7 p.m. ESPN360 Sat, Mar 01 Rutgers * at New Brunswick, N.J. 7 p.m. ESPN360 Wed, Mar 05 Villanova * at Philadelphia, Pa. 8 p.m. Sat, Mar 08 Notre Dame * Tampa TBA ESPN360

We'd be in the NCAA's.Good call on 7-9 being two short6-12 would be decent. 7-11 good... anything more... tremendous.

Not real sure how many games we'll win this year but I don't like our chances if we have many games like last night where three of our starters play 38 min. They will be flat wore out... I think we have a shot at going 9-9 in Conference. To be honest, we had alot of chances last year to WIN games but we just didnt get it done. Lack of motivation and bad coaching cost us. I say we make a BIG LEAP in the BIG EAST and REALLY turn some heads this season. I'm calling it. We have a chance to win 20 games. GO BULLS!!!
