1,000 free student tickets will become available online at www.gousfbulls.com beginning Wednesday, November 28th, at 6:00am.

The first 1000 students to request their free ticket will receive a complimentary Sun Bowl ticket.

The deadline to request a free student ticket to the Sun Bowl will be Thursday, December 6th, at 5:00pm.

E-mail notification will be sent out after 5 p.m. on December 6th, letting students know if their request was granted.

Tickets will be available for pick-up at designated will call times at the team hotel in El Paso and also at the stadium the day of the game beginning at 9:30am.  Tickets must be picked up prior to kick-off.  Tickets will NOT be distributed at the USF Ticket Office on the Tampa Campus.

A valid student ID is required in order to pick up the student ticket. Students may only pick up the ticket that they have requested. No student will be allowed to pick up another student’s requested ticket – No Exceptions.

Students receiving a free Sun Bowl ticket will also need to bring their email verification that they were selected to receive a free student ticket.

Students wishing to sit together must all pick up their tickets in El Paso at the desgnated locations.

Cool idea. Not sure how many students will actually show with the distance.

Unlike Birmingham the ticket price isn't gonna make or break the trip for some.

Hope this didn't kill SG'S budget either.

Are you kidding? The ticket price for the game is the least of my worries. How about hotel, airfare, and food? That alone could add up to well over $500.

yea i think they would of been wiser to take the money they spent on these 1,000 tickets (probably about 30,000) and put it to a travel package...like renting a few buses or something

Buses are impractical because it would take two full days to drive from Tampa to El Paso. I could drive from Fort Worth to El Paso and it would still take me about 10 hours, even though it's in the same state.

I feel kind of bad for the students because travel is going to be prohibitively expensive for a lot of them. This was probably all the athletic department could afford to do.
