Good idea or bad??

If you can't make the game, should you go ahead and buy tix to show support for USF??  I'm thinking that a $120 "donation" (2 $60 tix) wouldn't be that bad if I can't make it to the game - so that at least USF shows the ticket sales.

But at the same time - I wouldn't want to screw anyone out of tickets...

What do you think??

I don't know, I am thinking along the same exact lines as you.  I don't know whether to just donate money or buy the tickets so we don't have to hear the no ticket sales BS again.

buy the tix... and have the BullsClub donate them to a local charity for you.

They did that last year and got quite a few tickets.

But really, couldn't USF Athletics use $150 more wisely?  I mean if you donate the $150 to USF they can buy the tickets if they want to, or maybe build a dining hall.

They had something on the online and mailed form that allowed tickets to be bought and donated to charity or to students.

Here is the excerpt:

_____Please check here if you would like to donate tickets for USF students.

_____If checked, please write the number of tickets that you would like to donate.

_____Please check here if you would like to donate tickets to charity.

I bought last year when I didn't attend and added it to the total of free tickets made available to students. I know that last year they started with 500 free and that was augmented significantly by similar gifts. I would think the same could be done this year.

Do what you feel is best.  But by buying the tix and donating them:

1)  you are helping out some kids get to the game (or someone that wants to go in El Paso that otherwise couldn't)

2)  you are offsetting some of the cost of tix that we would have to buy anyway, thus keeping more money in the hands of USF.

Either way is perfectly fine, but just do one of them :)
