Buy now before fares go up.

The wife and I purchased tickets between ABQ and ELP, we will nonrev from TPA to ABQ.

This means that on Friday December 28 we will wave to you as you get on your flight to El Paso while we fly from Tampa-Chicago-Denver-Albuquerque-El Paso maybe!

Is there any chance that fares go down?  I know the $109 one way ends December 20th, but will they offer anything comparable after that date, or not because of it being the holidays?

El Paso is a small city with limited air service. Buy your tickets NOW. Fares will not go down.

And even if the fares do go down, on Southwest they allow you to re-book for the lower price. You will then have a credit for one year good on Southwest.

Unless I'm not doing something right here, SWA is going to have to do some serious price dropping to get my business.  Just found an AA flight for $363 rt.  2 stops on the way back, but worth saving $150 to me.
