Jamie Posted December 6, 2007 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 3,307 Reputation: 12 Days Won: 1 Joined: 01/26/2002 Share Posted December 6, 2007 Hey, if you're connecting somewhere in Texas and you already booked your flight, you should look at it again... Southwest took some discounts on flights within Texas. I rebooked my same flights from Dallas to El Paso and back and saved $50.When you get to Southwest's Web site, click on Special Offers at the top. If you have a nonrefundable flight, then you get the difference as a credit the next time you fly with them (the credit has a one-year expiration, as of the date you first booked your itinerary). HOU, AUS DAL whatever. The second set of numbers are the seats open for sale on the flight from your transfer city to El Paso.XX/XX/XXSame as above only that there is a stop with no plane change.Example you fly from Tampa to Houston and change planes in Houston. You then fly to Dallas then El Paso but do not change planes. If any segment is sold out then Southwest Web page will not let you book your trip. Example, if the flight from Houston to El Paso is sold out you can't book TPA/HOU/ELP.Note, all airlines oversell flights. If you wish to make some extra money for your trip volunteer then give up your seat for compensation. If the ticket agent offers you a amount that you think is to low then POLITELY let them know. They might offer you more. BUT make sure they can rebook you on a later flight that has open seats, make sure they say the later flight had open seats and get there NAME. During the holidays tickets agents will come up with more buck just to get you taken care of Quickly. Cheersswatpamike
