it will be nice when we start getting good recruits that are not everyone elses damaged goods... so far i have not seen any of these "star transfers" bring anything of substance to the field

Heath will have to get us winning consistently in the Big East for that.  If we have to get a bunch of transfers to do that then so be it IMO.

ummmm.......does the name Kentrell Gransberry mean ANYTHING to you?

you mean during the 12-18 season last year? yea... means very little. the basketball team has been around for 40 years and still ends up at the bottom of the pack. not impressed

ok, its clear you are just a jackass.

KG led the Big East in rebounding.  and you said that none of the "star transfers" brought anything to the team.

then you want to come back and say that the team went 12-18.

just move along

since we already have signed 2 guys, espinosa and that other guy greg reported about a week ago, does that mean if we get mercer we wont have another scholarship to offer a center for next year?

Mercer would sit out this season, as well as the first month of the 2008-09 season (until fall exams end), and then would have another full season in 2009-10. He'd be in the same class at Chris Howard and Solomon Bozeman.

USF would use its remaining scholarship on a center.

guys...all the big programs "waste" scholarships on guys for 1 year.

i dont think we would be complaining if we had to "waste" a scholarship on OJ Mayo for 1 year.

not that this guy is an OJ Mayo type player but college basketball is a little different from football.

specially since even though he is sitting out he can still practice
