Just remember that USF only fell to #10 in the BCS rankings after we lost to Rutgers, so we were still ahead of UCONN dispite the loss. I think USF would have gotten another shot if we would have beat both UCONN and Cincy. I just hope the team looks at this season and plays a lot more loose next season because they seemed to play too tight against Rutgers, UCONN, and CINCY.

It really sucks that we lost 3 games by mere 15 points total.  The big "IF" we would have won them all, we would be playing against W Virginia for the BCS championship.  And oh... that's only IF Kansas loses today also.

Nope... I think the human voters would keep us down the list... very much like UConn is.

UConn is down because the only ranked team they beat was us... after we had already lost.

their two losses came to (previously) unranked teams.

i dont think UConn and USF's situations are analagous at all.

take the top 25 bcs rankings.

take the average human voters.

subtract the human vote from the computer vote.

USF has one of the biggest discrempencies. It's been as high as 8 places this year. We would be held down. No way around it commie boy.

If we wre 11-1 we would be right there. We were 19 in the BCS after Rutgers. With all the losses we would be no lower than 3 right now.

Would USF be in the National Title race if we would have beaten UCONN and Cincy to give us a 10-1 record going into PITT?? I believe we would be right there in position f we just didnt get that bad luck against UCONN and CINCY. USF would be ranked pretty close to WVU, but I think USF would get the edge due to the head to head match up. It just kind of sucks thinking that USF was still in the title race even after that Rutgers loss. I am sure Leavitt is going to sell this season as a great example to recruits in that USF does have a great chance at playing for the national title.

sure

and if i was 7 foot 2  i would be the center for the lakers

If, if, if, if.  We lost 3 games.  Grumble and mumble but stop the if crap.

Remember, if a frog had wings he wouldn't smack his @$$ when he jumps.  That makes as much sense as if we hadn't lost we'd be in the NC game.

Let's just beat the ***** cats from Pitt and win our bowl.  Then we'll be ranked in the preseason and ready to shine in 2008!

3 conference games

4-3

If we were 11--1 would be in the hunt.

If we were 12-0 we would win the NC

The if's dont really matter. And I hate how people say our "bad luck" cost us. No, our lack of execution cost us

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
