We barely had 45,000 for Homecoming. Why would we have more for a Louisville team in shambles?

You know we had 57,000 right?

You know we had 45,000 right?

The 57,000 was the announced #, not how many people were at the game.

57,000 was the announced number, but I think I'll just believe some dude on a message board who said we only has 45,000...

there were definetely more than 45,000 people there.

the lower bowl holds 45k and it was nearly packed, and the upper bowl had a decent amount of people in all but two corner sections.

i know alot of people left early, but aside from the two empty corner sections in the upper deck, i personally i didnt see that much of a difference in crowd between the UCF and Cinci game.  had to be at least 50-55k

I thought my sarcasm was obvious.

I do not believe there were only 45,000 there if the official number was 57,000 (I have not personally seen this number, or any number since I don't care tat much)

it was obvious.

i was responding to the topic of the thread, and quoted your post cuz it had lots of poinys from everybody in there.

He is refering to the 45k that the Tampa Sports Authority was reporting as actual attendence. I called out the TSA stating that they must have some ticket scanners that are not working accurate because there was way more than 45k in actual attendence for that game if you looked at the crowd. I also stated that the actual student attendence of 4k was not accurate by TSA either because that student section was pretty much packed last season also. FWIW, I dont have any faith in TSA actual attendence #s anymore because you can clearly tell that those numbers are way off when you look at the crowd.

UL brought the smallest number of fans I can ever remember to wvu...probably only about 2500 of the 5000 tickets they got...most of their section had wv fans....they are thinking basketball

that's Morgantown. on a Thursday night.  i would tend to think fans up in Kentucky would be more inclined to take a weekend trip to sunny Florida than make a trip to po'dunk West Virginia on a weeknight.

There is also a pretty good chunck of UL fans in the Bay area both casual and hardcore.

I usually just believe what I read in print from a newspaper, but I guess you don't.

I've been to every home game this year.  There was definitely closer to 57,000 than 45,000.  As others have said that actually were at the game:  the lower bowl was close to full and the upper bowl was well stocked.  Ticketmaster, like the UL game, only sold section 330 that last week.  Obviously not too many people skipped the game because all the sections were nearly full.  In conclusion, don't believe everything you read.
