Can the penalties be attributed to the youth of the offense? The line is especially young with Capogna and Walker out.

yes.

and some of those penalties have been questionable as well.  not all, but some (roughing kicker)

what about the yr before and the yr before that and oh yeah the yr before that, bottom line is there are NO excuses for a lack of discipline

20 returning starters from last year-we cant use youth as an excuse for penalties.

it is a lack of discipline which has been characteristic of all of leavitt's teams

usf will always  have a ton of stupid penalties with leavitt at helm

i doubt it.  we always have a lot of penalties, regardless of how old the starters are.

I know this may sound stupid, but whatever the teams penalty yardage, make them run it in wind sprints the next practice. It sounds kinda high schoolish, but it could turn the team around in the penalty department.

The roughing the kicker was a 3rd down outside of the box quick kick I kind of find that hard to believe.
