DRays make huge trade

Zambrano to the Mets for top pitching prospect Kazmir. WOW!

I hate to admit, but it appears that Lamar has finally pried his head from his arse. Great move. Zambrano was up for a substantial raise next year and he didnt really fit into the Rays future picture.  Kazmir is considered the top left handed pitching prospect in the minors. Add him to the recently drafted Niemman and the recently recalled Brazelton, and the Rays could have an Oakland A's type triumvarant at the head of their rotation by 2006.  

Rumor also has it that the Rays will announce a huge contract for top prospect BJ Upton this afternoon. Possibly for as long as 9 years.  He would then be called up to the majors.

Its good for both teams... Mets think they have a chance this year and grabbed two good pitchers... Zambrano AND Benson!!!

They already had a decent staff, but now its very good.
