STOP WITH THE PERSONAL ATTACKS ON THE PLAYERS

Although place kicking has been our achillies heel this season, Alverado was recruited as a punter. I give this kid major kudos for stepping into a role that was needed for the team but not trained to excel in. Layoff the kid and focus on the recruiting staff to get kickers back-to-back so we don't wind-up in this situation again!  What we need to do on offense is get TD's so that Alverado can be in his element.

As for Grothe being 30% completion rate, yes, Grothe has some ownership in that, but so does the o-line and receiving corps.  Not to mention, the coaches are the ones responsible in training and TEACHING these kids on how to maximize their full potential.

Grothe didn't have a 30% completion rate.  I was just trying to translate a kicker's numbers to a qb's. Alvarado is a good punter and place kicker and there is room for him on this roster.  BUT, we need a new FG kicker.  If it's the player's fault- fine.  If it's the coaches fault- fine.  It doesn't change the fact that we need a new FG kicker.  Guys get benched for better players at every position.  We need a better player.

why didnt we recruit a kicker this year

im pretty sure we got a commitment for a kicker from around tampa.  he was being recruited by FSU and other in state schools.  correct me if im wrong.
