If we end up tied with West Virginia we win the conference on the head-to-head tiebreaker if I'm not mistaken and therefore we would go to the Orange.

Only if they finish within 5 spots of us I have heard. If they were 6th and us 15th they would still win the BE even if we own the tiebreaker.

This is not true....atleast according to gregs blog i believe. as long as we're tied and with one loss apiece with wvu and the end, we win, regardless of ranking. I think that was in either greg or brent's blogs either yesterday or that day before.

If USF and West Virginia finish tied atop the standings, USF wins the Big East and an automatic BCS bid due to head-to-head meeting. As per league rules. Now ... that doesn't mean West Virginia won't get taken higher in the BCS bowl selections, but we would still be GUARANTEED a slot.

Rutgers isn't going to win out. I wouldn't be surprised if Louisville beat them too - everyone wrote them off but UL is starting to make a comeback. I think they're still going to be a big factor.

Yes.  I think we are now in the game of rooting against team(s) that have the upper hand against us in the conference.  I want to win the BE and get a shot another conference champ to get some respect.

We want Rutgers to beat WV and Mississippi state to beat WV this weekend (dropping WV in the polls and hopefully us the higher ranking for the tie breaker). Do I have that right?

I would think that we want WVU to beat Rutgers to drop them to 2 in conference losses.  If we won the rest of our conference games we would have the tie-breaker over WVU.  I believe that the 1st tie breaker in the BE is head to head.

I thought the tie breaker was who was higher in the polls.

I'm pretty sure that the 1st tiebreaker is head to head, with national ranking being the 2nd tiebreaker.

We will do Miami, Jacksonville, Charlotte, or Birmingham  -  Sun is not in our future.
