Instead of considering his team, Keenan takes a Keeshon lesson and sits. Bad move for a 30+ wide reciever. Play and let the agent work it out. You not only hurt yourself by this, but hurt your team as well. You want to be the #1 reciever? Then show up and be the #1. Talk is cheap!   The Reaper >:(

Keenan McCardell = Eric Rhett

Didn't Rhett sit out his first camp with no contract? Kind of a different situation. I believe his agent was that sleazeball, Rosenhaus ..........

although i half agree with rebe, McCardell isn't a great #1 compared to others in the league, you can't really call out a player for holding out on contract negotiations... not in the NFL... players get screwed over by non-guaranteed contracts, but they can't void these contracts from their side if they want out... very one sided.  Owners cause most the problems, and there is no leverage for the players besides totally holding out.

I can rebut that argument in two words: Collective bargaining.

The non-guaranteed contract situation is what the NFL players union AGREED TO, in exchange for other concessions from team ownership (like good health care coverage for retired players). If he doesn't like it, he can jolly well take it up with the union. Or he can ask his agent why he didn't get more of his money in bonuses, which are guaranteed.

the Players union in football is a joke, the owners have all the power, union or not.

In McCardell's case, he or his agent or both are idiots. Do they really think Allen is going to budge on this?? He just cut two of the most popular Bucs ever and didn't bat an eye. No way he gives in to Keenan, screws his cap up and opens the door for more of this stuff in the future ....

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
