Mathematically, the earliest it could be is the 4th game of 2009. (7 more wins this year, 13 next year, 4 in 2009 = 24 wins).

There is no way on earth I will ever predict that could happen.

So figure if we lose 1-2 this year, 2-4 next year, it could happen toward the end of 2009.

In fact, and this would be WILD.  If could be in the bowl game after the 2009 season... the cool factor? Game #100 and Win #100 both coming in bowl games!!

I thought with Notre Dame's schedules they would have fallen past Oklahoma and Ohio State by not. Ohio State somewhat struggled from 1999-2001 though, and Oklahoma wasn't great in the late 90s.
